Tax-Free Weekend Museum of Printing Garage Sale

Saturday, August 29 from 10am – 3pm

Every museum has artifacts that are in storage, and the Museum of Printing is no exception. We were running out of space, so we acquired a 40-foot shipping container to store a 19th century Albion and other large printing presses. Over the next month, we are converting our garage into a store for larger letterpress items like presses, cabinets, and cases of type. This will make it easy for you to pull your vehicle right up to the door and load up using our hoist system.

We plan on having this ready in time for a giant Garage Sale on Saturday, August 29, from 10 am to 3 pm. (This is the tax-free weekend in Massachusetts.) Mark your calendars. And wear masks. We look forward to seeing you! Get a sneak peek at our sale items on our Facebook page.

trailer truck with treasures

One sunny morning a giant trailer pulled up to the Museum of Printing in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Less than an hour later, a 40-foot shipping container was positioned next to the building. What printing treasures could possibly be hidden inside?

The Museum of Printing is open Saturdays, 10am to 4pm, or weekdays by appointment. CDC and State guidance advisories have been implemented as part of Massachusetts’ Phase 3 openings.
